My Career story
For as long as I can remember, I wanted to be a manager. I started my journey in the technology world, where I worked on complex projects, and I always brought my personality with me – a combination of strength with something innocent and gentle that allows me to connect people. I am a serial learner, with a strong desire to grow, and during my service in the Air Force, I was exposed to the world of missile defense and fell in love with it. Over nearly three decades in the defense and technology sectors, I have accumulated experience managing people and large-scale systems, building partnerships, including international ones, and working in advanced fields such as artificial intelligence, C4ISR systems, and technological innovation – alongside P&L management. And still, even after all these years, I get excited by successes both small and large, as if it were the first time. I believe that fellowship, belief in purpose, and integrity are the forces that enable true success. The child within me – the one who gets excited, believes, and connects people – is the force that drives me. Integrity is my motto: to be fair and transparent, even in a competitive business world, while understanding that criticism is necessary, but without compromising the values that guide me and the ability to create real change.
Work Experience
R&D and Innovation Division head, the role includes:
- Guiding the technological vectors in which the organization will invest over the coming years.
- Managing and controlling the R&D budget.
- Initiating and managing strategic and cross-cutting R&D projects.
- Managing the organization’s venture capital fund.
- Leading the open innovation – find technologies that will expand the organization’s capabilities.
- Leading the internal innovation – cultivate a culture of innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship within the organization.
- Leading Business Development activities in the UK.
- Full responsibility for delivery of C4ISR and Autonomous Platforms in the UK.
- Leading company’s strategic plans including cooperation with various start-up companies.
- Leading product line of C4ISR solutions.
- Leading multi-discipline teams R&D, commercial, purchasing, legal staff, and Logistic Support.
- Responsible to extend AI and Machine Learning capabilities.
Leading the Elisra C4I and Missile Defense business unit, the role includes:
- Winning, development and delivery of strategic missile defense for the Israeli MOD and international customers.
- Managing a business unit with three large scale programs.
- Leading organizational transformation from a development unit into a business unit.
- Managing R&D unit with over 175 engineers.
Leading the division with the following areas of professional authority:
- Planning, Budget and Control of all IMDO work programs.
- CIO – Full responsibility for the provisioning of IT solutions.
Responsible for all joint IMDO activities in the U.S for the Israeli strategic missile defense system.
- Sole senior representative in the US for the DDR&D.
- Involvement in all areas of development and production of missile defense programs.
- Primary responsibilities:
- Israel US Missile Defense (MD) cooperative for Arrow, David’s Sling and Iron Dome.
- Professional authority of Israeli MD programs in the Pentagon, Congress, State Department and associated government agencies.
- Fundraising at the Congress for the development of Israeli missile defense programs.
- Interfacing with the U.S. Missile Defense Agency (MDA).
- Oversight of partner activities between members of the U.S. defense industries and the Israeli industry representatives within the U.S.
- Managing all aspects required for completing agreements between Israel and the US, including negotiations with US administration officials.
